Although it’s been around for a while, The Gap is more aggressively promoting their Athleta training clothing line. They are now using a new tagline for a new campaign that can be found in a number of different media outlets. You may have noticed ads in Shape, Runners World, Women’s Health, Fitness and other publications with the line “Power to the She.”
The clothing line hasn’t yet gained substantial popularity, but Gap expects their aggressive promotion and new stores to make the brand more widely used and known. In fact, by February, the Gap will open 10 stores, and plans to open another 50 by the end of 2013.
Athleta sells everything from swimwear, workout clothing, shoes, Yoga wear, athletic support garments and even outerwear and dresses.
Price points include $79 for their most popular classic pants, $34 for Yoga shorts, $69 for one piece swim suits and $45 for a sports bra.
Athleta is also making itself more well known by sponsoring a number of races around the United States and sponsoring girl’s sports programs.
All products are available for purchase on their website, so if there isn’t one of their few stores available where you live, you can browse at your leisure online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
